SOFTWARE EDUCATION GRANTS LICENCE TO SOUTH AFRICAN ICT TRAINING FIRM, NEXTGEN

Local software development training experts, Software Education, have signed a landmark agreement with ICT training firm, NextGen, allowing the South African company to deliver its Business Systems Analysis course under licence in South Africa.

In the first of what is hoped will be a series of international licence agreements, Martyn Jones, Managing Director of Software Education, says that the deal made perfect business sense for both organisations:

“We know, from international bench-marking, that a number of Software Education’s courses are world-class, so exporting our IP makes a lot of sense.”

NextGen approached Software Education in July, hoping to secure access to courses which would enable them to respond to industry demand for greater maturity in the business analysis function in South Africa.

Ronel Bornman, Senior Manager at NextGen, says of the deal:

“Our customers were telling us that they were struggling to find appropriately skilled Business Analysts, so we began the search for an international partner to help us deliver new training products to fill this need.  With some 20 years of experience in software development training, their breadth of offering and a strong culture fit, Software Education were the obvious choice.  We are all very excited about the opportunities this new partnership presents.”

Endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), the international body responsible for setting global standards in Business Analysis, Software Education’s Business Systems Analysis course offers comprehensive training in the goals, activities and processes involved in being a truly effective Business Analyst.

Not surprisingly, it is one of Software Education’s most successful courses to date.

The course is suitable for new and experienced Business Analysts alike. Built around a comprehensive case study, it delivers a unique blend of theory and practical application, and leaves students with full documentation for ongoing reference.

And the journey is by no means over.  NextGen has plans to roll out more of Software Education’s world-class courses in South Africa over time.
