What is the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)?
According to their website, the mission of the IIBA® is:

IIBA Endorsed Training courses
Software Education is an Endorsed Education Provider (EEP™) of the IIBA and currently has 7 business analysis courses specifically endorsed. These courses cover all six of the knowledge areas in the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®). As a company committed to helping raise the standard of professionalism in our industry, Software Education has been involved with the IIBA from an early stage, and is a regular event sponsor for both IIBA Australia and IIBA New Zealand Chapters.
CBAP and CCBA Certification
IIBA currently offers two tiers of certification:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) - To achieve the CBAP® designation, candidates must successfully demonstrate their expertise by itemizing their hands-on work experience in business analysis through the CBAP® application process, attain the prescribed number of Continuing Development Units (CDUs) and pass the CBAP® examination.
- Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBA™) - To achieve the CCBA™ designation, candidates must successfully demonstrate their expertise by itemizing their hands-on work experience in business analysis through the CCBA™ application process, attain the prescribed number of Continuing Development Units (CDUs) and pass the CCBA™ examination.
